Windows Registry Scan-
Why Bother?
Has your
computer started to run slow yet? It’s inevitable that it will
happen. Its one of the most common computer problems. When your
computer is new it runs like clockwork but gradually you will
see a decline. Its time for a Windows registry scan if
you are having errors, freezing, crashing, getting invalid
pathways, or the inevitable blue screen. For optimal computer
performance you should be running a Windows registry scan
frequently. Every time you install or uninstall an application
or program, or down load something it changes or is logged in
your computer registry in some way.
Usually you can
defragment your computer and gain a little bit of speed
for a short time but this is not the solution. This will
not make you registry run any better. After doing a
Windows registry scan and then running your favourite
cleaner then is the time to do your defragmentation
because it will then compress any empty partitions that
was left when the cleaner deleted the unwanted
information.
Do
you even know what the registry is?
Its one
component of the Operating system that is vital for the running
of your computer. You could say it is your computers brain.
Like the brain it is full of vital information stored for
future use. Every time something happens or you change
something within the system, your registry stores the
information. After a while it clogs up with redundant
information from unwanted files and programs that have either
changed, upgraded or have been removed. It’s the equivalent of
overeating when your plate is too full and you just cannot cope
with any more food. You know when to stoop eating but
unfortunately the registry just keeps getting bigger and bigger
unless you remove the unwanted excess.
Problems
will occur if you overeat all the time and it’s the same with
your registry. Whether you are changing settings, adding or
deleting programs of browsing the internet it is all recorded
by your registry. Overtime it will start deteriorating and
become flooded with information which eventually slows it down
as it cannot pick out the information it needs easily.
Eventually it will slow down your computers
performance.
You
could try to repair it yourself for nothing as you are the
owner of your computers registry. However, by doing it yourself
it means you need to manually delete the unwanted data if you
truly want to fix your computer. This is not only slow and
lengthy option but also it can be dangerous and deleting a
wrong file by mistake can make your computer inoperable. To
alleviate this headache you should use reputable registry
cleaner software and remove the burden from your
shoulders.
Perform a Windows
registry scan when……you have one or more of the following
problems
Too Slow a Start Up
Speed- We have already said
your computer should be running smoothly when new. It will
start to slow when your registry is full or corrupted. If your
start up speed deteriorates then it is time to run a Windows
registry scan and clean up the affected files.
Unresponsive Computer- Sometimes you try to do something on
your computer and it will not respond. It could affect your
work or at least take up much of your time. If you're spending
more time hitting control/alt/delete, then it's time for a
registry cleanup.
Internet is Slow to
Load and Browsing is at a Snails
Pace- it’s not unusual to
open up your favourite browser and it takes an age to load.
Sometimes it’s from the website itself but more than likely it
could be issues with your computer registry. This problem could
be solved after fixing a corrupt registry.
The Big
Freeze- Imagine working for
hours only to find you are stopped because your computer has
frozen. This is most annoying because you cannot save your work
and may need to turn your computer off. This is better now with
computers but still happens because you have registry problems.
It’s another reason to do a Windows registry scan and do a
registry cleanup.
The inevitable Blue
Screen. Appropriately named,
the blue screen of death it’s exactly that. The BSD has become
a national phenomenon since the beginning of the computer age.
It used to be you needed a new hard drive but it can be
somewhat avoided if you regularly run registry repair
software.
There’s
no need to watch your compute slowly destroying itself. If you
know what to look for, then you can run a Windows Registry scan
and fix registry problems before it happens.
Knowing how a Windows
registry scan works
Using registry repair software is the best way to analyse just
how many faults have occurred on you registry. Your computer
slowing is a pre warning that something needs fixed and usually
it is your registry. Maybe you do not want to buy registry
repair software but you can at least have a free scan and see
just how many faults are on your registry then it’s up to you
whether you buy or not.
Our
recommendation is to check out as many registry cleaners online
that you can. It's pretty much the same thing we did, except we
spent months trying various ones to figure out the best ones
out there. There are some great cleaners out there but there
are also many which only have a few benefits. It’s time
consuming to check them out so what we did is narrow down the
best choices based on there features, how reputable they are,
there performance, and the affordability.
Our
favourite was RegistryFix. It gives you the opportunity to
repair, backup, and remove unwanted data quickly.
